So I decided to go and step outside of the world of my room, car, and den and go outside. Big surprise right?! Because I have such a busy schedule I decided to stay close to home and go into my backyard. I live in a relatively quiet neighborhood that is surrounded by a golf course. My house in particular backs up onto the golf course so as soon as you walk into the backyard there is long green fields of neatly trimmed grass and shrubs, but I must say that if you are going outside in the morning until around 5 in the afternoon be careful not to get shot down by a golf ball.
So I ventured outside at 4 in the afternoon (still a dangerous venture but why not?) on a Monday. the sun was still up by it was cool outside with a nice breeze, it was the perfect afternoon. I sat down on my my little blue blanket and took a deep breath.
I sat outside for about 30 minutes. I saw many birds, some ladybugs, of course there was ants, 3 lizards, and my neighbor's two yappy dogs who's names I cannot remember. The tree to the right of me has flowers on it they are bright purple and i couldn't really smell them for where I was sitting. Now between the two dogs barking and the men talking and yelling at each other on the golf course it wasn't a quiet as I thought it would be but there was moments of silence. There was also a couple loud "Sorrrrrryyyyy" as golf balls flew by me. There is never a dull moment.

Climate and Food!
This weeks blog about about food because everyone loves food! But more so about how climate change effects some of the foods we eat.
In the article "Climate Change Will Probably Ruin These 9 Delicious Foods by 2050, So Brace Yourself" published on The Huffington Post. It discusses and lists nine foods that might change by 2050 purely because of climate change. The list consists of coffee, peanut butter, inexpensive chocolate, and some other very valued foods. Also explaining what could happen to the food and how the food will react to the climate change this article points out many interesting possibilities.

With finding this article, I find myself questioning whether or not this is a reliable source and is the information I'm getting trustworthy. Being published on The Huffington Post is a pretty big deal, if I may say so, so I would think that Ms. Sara Boboltz, who is the author of this article, would do lots of research on her topic. I found that she did indeed! At the bottom of the article there is many other links to other web newspaper and some are well known science magazines and newspapers.
Also The Huffington Post is run by a large staff that thoroughly edits their articles, but there is a bit of opinion in their articles (just as the title of their link says) "Breaking News and Opinion" is clearly stated from the beginning. With that being said I do know that they do do their research, but there is opinion thrown into the articles so they aren't as credible as newspapers like "The New York Times".
Unfortunately, I could not find The Huffington Post's mission statement anywhere on the internet or the website. I believe that they are trying to deliver news with some opinion.
The specific claim made in this article is that the listed foods are going to harder to come by in 2050 due to climate change and irregular weather patterns. There is a lot of evidence to support some of the foods like coffee. The author does more or found more evidence for some foods but not for all of them.
This article makes me a little sad because I love peanut butter and apple pie and fish, but I am a very hopefully person and always looks for the best in dim thing or situations.

Are you asking about me?
Hey there fellow Earthling!
My name is Nadiyah Sims but most people call me Diyah or Dash for short. I currently reside in Fontana CA but I raised in West Covina and moved to Rialto when I was young. I am currently a student at Riverside City College and I major in Sports' Medicine. I am a concurrently enrolled student at Gateway Early College and Career Academy which allowed me to enter college at an earlier age without having to have a high school diploma. I work on my degree and high school diploma at the same time. I take college classes and get the college and high school credit for them. I graduate in July. I am currently taking an Environmental Science class and I am hyped to see what's in store for me in this class. I am already a health nut being that I am an Athletic's Trainer so why not be a Earth nut? I hope to gain so better insight on how to better the planet we live on and make in a cleaner and healthier place!
P.S I am a mermaid at heart so GO OCEAN BLUE !
I found out that if everyone lived like me it would take 4.8 Earths to support us.
